I'm thrilled to announce that I'm starting a podcast! After years of blogging and connecting with my audience online, I'm ready to take things to the next level and share my thoughts and ideas in a new way.
I've decided to focus mostly on my book, Wisdom and Grace, but I'm sure I'll be adding alot of life, travel and flowers in as well. On occasion bring in special guests to interview and hopefully along the way, I'll inspire a few of you who have expressed wanted to do the same thing, to start your own podcast.
Why a podcast? There are so many benefits. As you may know, I talk all day at work and socially, I'm never the quiet one. While I love writing, talking is soooo much easier. I'm looking forward to building a deeper connection with my audience, reaching new listeners who prefer audio content, and expanding my reach beyond my blog and social media channels.
The process. This has been another project starting from scratch. Where do I start? Because I've already got a great following with my FunFloridaMom brand name, I'm sticking to that for my podcast too. I'm keeping it simple and not going overboard on equipment. We'll see how that pans out for me. If I sound like I'm in a tunnel or an empty room full of echo, let me know! I've already got a few episodes planned out, I now just need to push publish. (The story of my life, literally!) There have been a few challenges, but the biggest one is confidence. How will it sound, will anyone listen? As always, it's time to put on my big girl panties and just do it. So, yes, I care, what you think. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you return for more. I hope you send me questions and I hope you tell your friends about it. But in the end, I'm going to do it whether the world likes it or not.
